From the Vaulieu garden, with your local guide, you will drive along the former island of Sallertaine before going down the heart of the marshlands, in the former ocean
While you ride your bike on a former dike, an unexpected environment will reveal the gentle sounds of the rushes in the wind, the winding tree roots flooded or dried depending on the seasons, and the calm and smoothness of this man-made landscape
Farther, some typical low white-washed houses will take you back to the previous 19th century.
On the way back, the charming little narrow road along the shore of the woods features an interesting pint of view over the former island.
