EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES
As soon as the company was taken over as a SARL (limited liability company) in 2009, club-based Paddle School activities were offered and run for local children and teenagers. Several of today’s qualified seasonal guides are graduates of this program.
In 2013, launch of weekly “Pink Ladies” workshops – “paddling to overcome cancer”, in network with several associations of the Comité Départemental Canoë Kayak, La Ligue contre le cancer de Vendée, the support of the Agence Régionale de Santé and the Conseil Départemental de la Vendée. These workshops have been a resounding success, opening up to cancers other than breast cancer, and then to other pathologies or pre-pathologies such as multiple sclerosis, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. These workshops, and the extraordinary adventures shared by participants such as the Vogalonga in Venice, also enable a mix with family members.
PRODUITS LOCAUX ET DE QUALITE : Several of the walks include a tasting or meal of quality local produce, prepared by our partners: La Ferme du Pas de l’Ile and Boutolleau charcuterie in St Gervais, Vendée-Chèvres in Froidfond, Le Moulin de Rairé in Sallertaine.
